Corporate Knights said this analysis could explain «why some of the
biggest oil sands
players are gobbling up low - carbon patents and quietly running the numbers
on different scenarios, such as
when they should exit the oil sands or make the shift to becoming predominately alternative fuel and green energy firms.»
Coquelin's defending is excellent. In fact i've watched many DM's Arsenal have been linked and he's better than some of them defensive wise. How many top DM's will keep the likes of Silva, Coutinho and Modric (12/13) quiet throughout a match? It takes top defending to do that. His
biggest problem is that he's not adventurous and doesn't hold the ball with authority. It's just that I feel he's not given the appreciation he deserves. He's a good squad
player to have and
when on form can do well against top teams.
He just point a fact, the core of the team are average british
players and yes the blame lays
on Wenger first for playing them out of position with poor tactic but also by making them the first teamer
when their level is not good enough to win
big stuff.
Respect to Aaron for stating a fact, Wenger make the fans criticize the
players because he force them in the team or play them out of position like wilsh and Ramsey.if Wenger would accept to rotate the
players every one would have play time but he insists
on playing the same team again and again. He does it
when we win and
when we loose that why we are never consistent enough to win
big trophies.
Although many will suggest that Robson has a personal vendetta of sorts aimed squarely at the Grinch who stole soccer, that doesn't make his words any less truthful... such tactics are nothing new... in the U.S.this business practice has become so common that even the
players regularly use the media to manipulate public opinion (LeBron James did likewise to rally public support for himself and away from his teammate, Kyrie Irving, who has asked to be traded)... whether for contract leverage or to rally support for or against certain
players, this strategy can be incredibly effective at times, but
when it misses the mark it can be dangerously divisive... for a close - to - the - vest team like Arsenal to use such nefarious means to manufacture a wedge between the fans and it's best
player (again), is absolutely despicable... for the sanctimonious higher - ups who demand that it's
players adhere to a certain protocol regarding information deemed «in house» or else to intentionally spread «fake» news or to provide certain outlets with privileged information for such purposes is pretty low indeed... no moral high ground here, just a
big club pretending to be a small club so that they can continue to pull the wool over the eyes of a dedicated, albeit somewhat naive, fan base... so not only does this club no give a shit about it's fans, this clearly shows that clubs primary interests aren't even soccer related... for all intent and purposes Kroenke doesn't care if we're a soccer club or a tampon factory as long as we continue to maximized his investment... stay woke people... great to see more and more people commenting
on the state of the franchise... this club needs to be held accountable for it's actions
Most of ye probably didn't support arsenal
when Wenger was classed as one of the most wanted managers in Europe and was putting it up to Utd and winning trophies every yr things are different now the moving stadium all that less whinging give it a bit of time he is starting to spend and I'm sure he will buy 1 or 2 in Jan and a few
big signings nxt summer and I hope he goes out
on a high man gets ridiculed by knobs like ye
on a regular basis
players want to play for him
big star
players like his style wake up a bit as long as he is in charge the club is in good hands
But
on the downside, At a
bigger club with star
players with egos, if the
players are not happy with the new arriving Boss (
big name) you will get the complete opposite of the above... Lack of motivation, just like what happened with Utd
when SAF was replaced by Some no body!?
He certainly did a Giroud
when coming
on against Leciester
on Friday and Ramsey has had his fair share of injuries which have often come about from a busy schedule of games, so perhaps he could be an impact
player for Arsenal from midfield just as the
big Frenchman is up top.
With Wenger, I'll rather look at the
bigger picture (hoping there exist one)
when it comes to transfer windows, than hold
on to little «promises» of getting «atleast one
player» every other January.
Did he ever deliver in the
big games
when we needed a goal from someone? For a
player of his size and build he was embarrassing at times the way he rolled around
on the floor in «agony» at the slightest touch.I never felt he held up the ball particularly well (Alan Smith anyone?)
The Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic played
on national television just a couple of weeks ago, prior to the NBA trade deadline, with the
big story being that the best
player from one of the team's likely wouldn't be in the lineup
when they met this time around.
Another
big player for Bayern Munich
when van Gaal joined, Luca Toni became another high - profile victim of the Dutchman's desire to stamp his authority
on the team, criticising the Italian for his «playboy» lifestyle and publicly humiliating him
when he grabbed him by the ears
when he wasn't sitting up straight at a team meal.
You are spot
on on Perez being better than ozil if he's given the chance, but neither of them are at wilshere's level
when fit Wilshere is aggressive, you can't get the ball off him unless you foul him which gives us enough set pieces, he's a
big game
player, watch our games against Bayern, barca, Chelsea, man city, man utd e.t.c
when he plays, he creates more chances You just need to watch his games even at Bournemouth against Chelsea, which brings me back to the point that, no coach will ever play ozil while Wilshere is fit except wenger............ Plus, ozil is a pu ** y or a weakling rather
A stunning number of athletes are playing the game, particularly in the NFL, which showed it has a
big following among
players when Raiders quarterback Derek Carr began talking about it
on Twitter.
It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the
big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring
players that fit the system he ran
when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up
on a squad that has a striker who plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge
when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend
on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his time at Arsenal are the
players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer
Every sport book today is computerized, Back in my day money always moved the line if a
player was respected, and if the squares tossed enough money
on a game most books would move the line a little, However the
big books would just sit and even take layoffs from the small stores, They knew even if the squares got hot in the end the juice would eat em up.Gone are the days
when Billy Walters and his crew would move the line 3 and 4 points, I'm talking sides not totals, Forget about what they did to the horseshoe with totals in the NBA, Back then you could catch small non computerized stores with bad lines to begin with, imagine a three point move and the small store or corner bookie is off
on the line a few points to begin with, I could catch some game with 6 and seven point advantages, with computers today if you can catch a half or one point advantage your lucky.Even if you know the group moving the line most of these store move the lines
on air,
when I say air they just watch the screen from D.B. And move the line before they even get hit, Hell even the
big stores have the sharps
on small limits per call.
I just don't know what's wrong with Arsenal fans.Sure I get it as humans we all have our preferences but things start to look funny
when we begin to bash and criticize a
player like he's useless.I just don't get why Arsenal fans do nt want Vardy.Oh is it because he's not world class, he's English, He's not a
big name, he's a fairy tale, you feel all he does is run, he's not got a better history in footballing until now or you feel Giroud is better or what?I really pity Arsenal fans honestly.I would've taken Jamie Vardy in a heartbeat.Sure he's not the best option out there. But I'll say this and say it again it's not a world class striker that wins you a league but rather just increases your chances of winning the league. If you've watched Arsenal clearly from the time since Henry left you realized that it's more of not being able to find a clinical striker.Eduardo was not a already a finished product
when he started his career here yet he was clinical and was
on world class form until injury. What Arsenal need now is a world class finisher if they can't get a world class striker.
TJARKS: I had Bennett as the No. 1
player on SB Nation's
Big Board prior to the 2013 NBA Draft, so I wasn't as surprised as most
when the Cavs picked him.
When we were asking Wenger to spend
big to buy Lacazette some few seasons back people said he is not proven
on the
big stage yet and that he was in the French League.Today, we are in a similar situation and we are going to bid a whooping # 50 for a
player who'll probably be benched if Sanchez stays and take up the leading role if he leaves.Whrre's the sense in all this?Probably, long term he might be worth it but as of now he ain't.
In the last few years Wenger only seems to spend
big on a
player when he has come under heavy criticism from the fan's.
While some will point to the fact that Francis Coquelin has made a
big difference as well as other
players like Laurent Koscielny being an improvement
on what Arsenal had before, some Arsenal fans feel that nowhere near enough credit has been given to our former defensive star and current assistant manager Steve Bould, who was a
player when Arsene Wenger arrived and helped us to win three titles, five domestic trophies and the UEFA Cup Winners» Cup.
The charts also reveal the percentage of possessions a
player «ends,» either positively or negatively (DPoss %), field goal percentage
on shots defended (OppFG %), ratio of free throw attempts generated per field goal attempt defended (OppFTA / FGA), defensive rebounds per 40 minutes (DRebs / 40), percentage of possessions
on which turnovers are created (FTO %), and for the
big men, a rim - protection stat that tracks field goal percentage
when they're within five feet of the basket and the shooter is five or fewer feet away (RimProtect %).
Fabregas first came up against Mourinho during his time as an Arsenal
player,
when his Chelsea side were one of their
biggest rivals due to their competing for the same prizes
on the pitch and the ongoing war of words between Mourinho and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Big thing is for him to adapt his game to avoid drawing
players into crunching him
on one of his driving runs, & knowing
when to release the ball.
In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead
on the left and Ox
on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured
player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied
on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back
when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but
on the whole he has been a
big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put
on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and
when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name
on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average
players who couldn't make any of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy
on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average
players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary
players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
You know it's been a bad offseason
when the
big win for the front office is that they saved a million dollars
on a
player who chose to bet
on himself.
plus Ramsey can give us goals
when he is
on song vidal isn't a
big goal getter from the middle just gives you a lot more energy and bite to take the game in the middle (not forward) to the other team, but we have enough
players that do that so for the price and requirements we need meeting i must say i am out
on this one.
«Their
players thrive
on these
big games, as they have shown with victories at Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool, and then again
when Chelsea came to visit.
this is what can really make our season
when you know sanchez will leave for free next season why pay his wages sell him to psg and build a team which can stay here for years give psg sanchez and 30 million and get draxler verati krychowiak even auriar if a deal falls through
when you want to win league you sould have a
big squad with good
players on bench look at city manu and chelsea they all have good
players we need these 4
players there is no
player other then ozil who can create a goal for stricker or play a killer pass niether bellerin or oxlade can not play a good threatning ball
when striker is in the box if we get them
Arsene Wenger has some
big choices to make in the next few days about which Arsenal
players will be in the starting line up
on Tuesday night,
when the German Bundesliga champions come to town for the first of two back to back games that will probably decide our fate in the Champions League this season.
everyone with common sense knows that all the
players will be playing a
big part in arsenal challenging for titles except may be our defenders & goalkeeper who will play in all our important games otherwise we will see a lot of different combinations used in midfield & attack during the season depending
on the opposition or if it, s a cl game to top the group or
when it, s been decided already, a cup game or
when we have to play twice in a week, injuries, loss of form....
Our
player of the season so far?Certainly the most consistent.JACK AND OZIL CONTRACTS - just get them signed up for F *** S SAKE.Jack doesn't want to go anywhere and Ozil will have his choice of
big clubs to choose from if allowed to be able to go
on a free. How about giving out a statement of our ambitions (yeah right) and show were prepared to pay whatever it takes (up to the point of being ridiculous) to SIGN the best and KEEP the best» These two are the best we have so get them sorted early to send out a message of how serious we intend to be.AUBAMEYANG - So what if he has a contract. So did Sanchez.Offer the right money to Dortmund and the
player and he will be ours. What is there to question over this deal?He is a proven goalscorer. We have just lost one.Get the deal done.GIROUD - Get rid of him to Dortmund if they want him either by selling or if it sweetens the deal just loan him till the end of the season. He was a back up
when Sanchez was here and will be
on the mix of back ups if Auba signs. He has a World Cup squad to fight for just to be considered so needs to be playing every week.We do not need him if Auba signs and would demand better than him if the deal fails to happen.Just get rid.JONNY EVANS - I'm not sure.Agree Kos needs nursing through games and we do not have consistent performers to come in if he is injured or rested mainly due to both Chambers and Holdimg not progressing through as much as we first thought and hoped for.Gooners have always been patient and supportive of the youngsters as they have come through but question marks to the whole coaching staff as to why these two seem to have stalled as much as they have done.Steve Bould - What do you do?You should be ashamed.
@ leo thats one of our
biggest problems right there
when i comes to rotating
players and tactical subs wenger seems slightly tarded he just runs the same
players into the ground time after time and
when a game is screaming ouut for certain
players to come
on he just neglects them or they come in
on the 85th min
If not, then no matter how
big a squad Arsenal have, we will always have periods
when Wenger is having to shuffle the pack and use
players out of position or rely
on those not normally in the first team.
to be honest his growing
on me lately he has improved a lot but he makes the same mistakes
when his in our half with his panic passing to
players who are marked, he needs to address that ASAP, and i would agree he has huge talent but needs to be loaned out to new arrival EPL team to work
on his weaknesses and Arsenal is too
big a club for us to field a young
player with one or two small shortfall's, same goes to AMN
I am an Ozil hater and I will say why I hate Ozil, Ozil is not a goal threat which would allow other attackers more space, Ozil job is not only to assist but also to score goals, he drops out of sight
when placed under pressure, does not provide the team with a lift in dire moments (for our so called
big player) and only concentrate
on team defence for a few minutes.
i like this guys management skills,
when he was intervened
on TV while back
when he was asked about what makes him so successful he replayed by saying that so far its been easy for him because he has managed two of the
biggest clubs
on the planet and that the press should respect those managers more who manage lower teams with no finances and average
players and get results,
It's never fun to see a great
player like John Wall
on the bench in street clothes, but it is fun to see them celebrating
when their teammates make
big plays.
The only thing which makes our team unbalanced is playing the luxury item we bought called ozil.I thought he would need time to adjust to physicality of premier league so i supported him, but the guy hasn't improved he tries to dribble past ppl but runs into them somehow, tries to do showboating at unnecessary time which he fails to do miserably. And i see him giving too many back passes
when he should drive forward. And the
biggest reason i stopped liking him as a
player is bcoz of his sulky attitude. No passion or drive for the club, as if he wanted to be at some other club and is just doing the job without his heart in it.He neeeds to be placed
on the bench and make him work hard to retain his place.Ramsey and coq in middle with ox and sanchez
on both wing and cazorla as cam will make us a more balanced midfield.
Ozil has been criticised for not turning up
on the pitch
when it matters most, but he had an impressive display against the Blues earlier in the season and an injury to the German
player of the year, would be a
big blow to the Gunners.
Thierry Henry has said it all, that there's is a problem in arsenal, there was a time he don't even relate with his teams mate and he question why Sanchez will remain at arsenal after the display against Liverpool, I have said it before the
big issue
on ground is not money that the
player are demanding but the ambition of the club... henry also said,
when u are playing for arsenal u are comfortable whether u are playing well or not because there's no pressure
on u....
We are paying out millions to two
players (Walcott and Wilshire) who are either not willing or unable to deliver the good
on the field and this seems a very odd stance for a club who refuses to get involved in the
big buy figures than many other clubs do
when purchasing their new
players.
While I do not think that the Arsenal fans and
players especially need to keep our feet
on the ground and not get too bullish about this one game, it certainly is a
big positive and one more step towards the Gunners getting off to a good start
when it really counts.
When the
big managers throw
players in
on the deep end, it is usually a testament to ur mental strenght... Szcezny made his debut against Man U with Almunia fit for selection, Sanogo got those
big games against Liverpool and Bayern at the expense of an uninjured Giroud, Welbeck against Madrid at the expense of a fit Rooney, they see these guys in training, we don't.
If i was playing against barcelona id show them who is the boss but then I am the so called the mad man cause i will go for it get the ball and score the goal I have always been like that football needs spirit / form In
big stadiums one is in need of spirit and form other wise its cold with not much interest with heads in between knees so
players need to feed
on something the support the leader chip trust me
when I say if we all together want to win barcelona and wanted loud we will win
The club are spending no more money this window - unless an unknown no hoper, Sanogo style, from the French lower division comes for loose change — and this Scrooge club are simply trying to recoup the Lacazette fee from existing deadwood, reduce the wagebill and con us poor mug fans once again with lies about this or that
big player being
on the radar,
when the truth is — as we cynics know very well, who have learned better from bitter experiience of the clubs constant lies — that no one of note is coming in and this dishonourable, shifty club continue to drag our former great name in the mud, with their corrupt misrunning of our once great and glorious club.
His
biggest blunder occurred in the fall of 1989
when he scheduled a nationally televised Skins Game
on the same weekend as the 13 - year - old Corning Classic, which is held in an upstate New York community popular with the
players.
Look at the last
big player who moved from one of the
big two in Spain
when joining manu, Di Maria, that has to be a black mark
on manu.
Wenger said
on Arsenal.com: «English
players could have more of a problem
when they come from a smaller club to this club because of how
big the pressure is.
I know that Arsenal fans have had our problems with La Liga's Barcelona at times, sometimes
on the pitch with our meetings in the Champions League and sometimes off the pitch as they have poached a few
big players off us, especially
when Arsene Wenger was working
on a very tight budget and unable to fight off transfer interest in his best
players.
