I've watched many different tutorials
on burlap wreaths and I must say that I love yours the best.
I have already purchased the materials for making a new fall pillow — a variation
on the burlap wreath one you featured on your blog.

I started out by tying
on a piece of green
burlap on the back of the
wreath form.
My original «Deer Winter»
wreath features a chalk painted buck head, pine cones, snowy birch branches,
burlap ribbon and grapevine
on a 24 inch lightly flocked blue spruce and pine
wreath.
You can then get your creativity
on and decorate your
burlap wreath any way you want!
I found a gorgeous soft sage natural
wreath at Homegoods and hung it
on top of the
burlap and added a pretty green silky ribbon to complete the look.
I just love the
burlap bow
on this
wreath.
Perhaps we will all have
burlap wreaths hanging
on the door one day!

And here is what I removed and changed
on it... the «P» initial came off, the hydrangeas were removed and I turned the whole
wreath's orientation so the
burlap bow was in the center at the top!

The
burlap ribbon is from Michaels Craft and it comes
on a roll (I found it over by the
wreath making supplies).
Depending
on the sizes of your
wreath form,
burlap ribbon, and poofs, you may or may not need to use more than one roll of ribbon.
I was planning
on trying the coffee filter
wreath and
burlap stockings this year!
You just pull the
burlap through the loops of the
wreath form from back to front, going Outer — > Middle — > Inner — > TWIST / WRAP — > Inner — > Middle — > Outer and so
on with the loops.
It will of course depend
on the size ribbon /
burlap you're using and how much of each, but you just attach the
burlap AND ribbon to the
wreath form, then alternate between the two (or more strands, whatever you have) to make the poofs.
I definitely didn't want to ruin my new favourite ribbon in case this project turned out to be a total bust, so I planned
on keeping all the pom pom strings long so I could just tie them around the
wreath, and tucking in the
burlap was just so much easier than bothering with any kind of glue.
I found this adorable red
burlap wreath that Heather from WhipperBerry made for Valentine's Day a few years ago
on Pinterest and couldn't stop thinking about it.
I grabbed the end of the
burlap ribbon that I had just bunched up and placed it
on the BACK side of the
wreath form behind the top divider bar and poked the two ends of my wire through.
I'm working
on a Mickey Mouse
burlap wreath now for a friend.
You can tuck baskets
on shelves or under benches, place woven trivets, placements or netting
on tables, put sticks in jars, put
burlap or linen
on lampshades, use textured pillows
on sofas, hang natural
wreaths, or decorate with whatever you have
on hand to bring a little more warmth, fill in some of the blank spaces and bring your winter home to life again!
I opted to leave some of the grapevine
wreath showing
on my
wreath, but if you prefer, you can completely cover the grapevine
wreath with your
burlap ribbon.
