I just loaded up
on cashew butter (they were on major sale at Whole Foods this week) so I'm toooootally going to make these.
I haven't gotten
on the cashew butter train before this, mostly because I've had mixed results blending up my own nut butters in the past.
and now I'm putting my hands
on Cashew Butter for the first time!

I just made the dressing, but with
Cashew Butter instead of almond and i poured it
on steamed broccoli as a side and it was amazing.
I'm not sure if this was down to using homemade almond
butter (previously used
cashew butter), not sifting the raw cacao or over-mixing in the Magimix — any thoughts
on this would be appreciated (although this may be better directed at Madeleine as the recipe originated from her.)
Melt the coconut oil,

I cut coconut flour with half almond flour Nd substituted almond
butter for
cashew butter (That's all I had
on hand).

butters as well as tahini, for cooking, but I really don't usually spread them
on things and eat them plain.
This time around I used homemade chocolate
cashew butter in place of the almond
butter because it's what I had
on - hand and they tasted just as good if not better.

on top of an easy date and almond crust (no
butter!).

on the cutting board and I really don't know the measurements but the ingredients that went in were steal cut oats, organic peanut
butter, coconut sugar, cacoa and crushed

As a big nut

You certainly don't have to use apricot kernel
butter in these cookies — almond,
cashew, peanut, or any other nut
butter would be just as delicious — so feel free to use whatever you have
on hand.
I used
cashew butter and threw in a bunch of cilantro
on a whim too, and it's SO good and like you said, surprisingly versatile!
I say accidentally because it was supposed to be with different ingredients like
cashews and dried cherries, which I didn't have, so I subbed some toasted quinoa (which up until then I was a stranger to, but I had some
on hand from a recent shopping trip to my local Winco) and used sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, oats, raisins, peanut
butter, honey and sea salt.
They're also good
on / in coconut yogurt, smeared with raw almond
butter, or sandwiched with some raw
cashew butter.
And, depending
on your taste, you might choose to make a few of your favorite bars multiple times rather than every recipe in the book: - I use a wide variety of nut / seed
butters throughout the book (almond,
cashew, coconut, hazelnut, macadamia, peanut, pecan, walnut, pumpkin seed, sunflower seed), but most of them use almond
butter and peanut
butter.
In a large saucepan, melt the
cashew butter with the maple syrup
on a medium heat.
God!!!!! I made this with
cashew butter (all I had
on hand)... minus the vanilla (couldn't find it), stevia, and subbed raw honey (couldn't find the normal honey).
Add a couple tablespoons of vegan
butter (optional) and a plant based milk (unsweetened
cashew milk works great) and using an immersion blender
on low (don't turn
on your blending tool unless it is in the pot already or you may splash yourself with hot water).
