Acts 17:24 - 28 «24 The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord
of heaven and earth, does
not dwell in temples made with hands; 25 nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people
life and breath and all things; 26 and He made from one man every nation
of mankind to
live on all the face
of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries
of their habitation, 27 that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is

Jeremy thanks for your comments alot
of this i never really thought about before until you provoked me to seek the truth in the word it is what we all should be doing finding the truth for ourselves God wants to reveal mysterys if we are open to hear.If we have been christians awhile we just take the word
of whoevers preaching or whichever clip we see
on god tube its knowledge but
not revelation.Because the story sounds plausible we tag that
on to our belief for example for many years i believed that the rich young rulers problem was money so the way to deal with that problem is to give it away and be a follower
of Jesus sounds plausible.Till you realise every believers situation is different so the message has to be universal. So the reason its
not about money because it excludes those that do
nt have it and does
nt make room for those that do have it but do
nt worship it.The rich young ruler was
not a bad person he
lived by a good moral code but he made money his idol he put that before God.The word says we shall
not have any idols thats a sin and a wicked one.In fact there wasnt any room in his heart for Jesus that is a tragedy. So when we see the message is about Idolatry we all have areas that we chose
not to submit to God thats universal everyone
of us whether we are rich or poor.I believe we are unaware that we have these idols what are some
of them that was revealed to me our partners our
children our work our church our family i can sense some
of you are getting fidgetty.
They know about the anti-Jewish polemics
of certain church fathers; about the forced baptisms, especially
of children; about the church council decree that sanctioned the removal
of such
children from their parents; about a papal edict encouraging raids
on Jewish synagogues by the faithful; about the expulsion
of all Jews from a country like Spain; about Luther's hate language directed against Jews when they did
not convert according to his timetable; about the prohibition against Jews
living in Calvin's Geneva; and about all the cruelties Christians have felt justified in perpetrating against the people they called «Christ - killers.»

To talk in that fashion is
not to speak
of a kind
of meaningless re-enactment
of what went
on in the creation; it is to speak
of a vital,
living, and ongoing movement, where God knows and experiences (if that word is, as I believe, appropriate to the divine
life) that which has taken place, but knows it and experiences it with a continuing freshness and delight — and, if what has taken place has been evil, with a continuing tinge
of sadness and regret — such as must be proper to the chief creative and chief receptive agency who is worshiped and served by God's human
children.

Psychosis / most psychiatric illnesses often arise in adolescence or in early adult
life however 75 per cent
of children with mental health disorders / issues do
not get the help they need — I fell into that 75 per cent, I was misdiagnosed by a doctor and then the self - induced trance - like altered state
of consciousness induced by intense / deep meditation and prayer coupled with the theology about how prayer and God work in a Christian's
life (more
on this below) just pushed me right over the edge.
By extension every good deed, every struggle for justice and deliverance from oppression, every effort to care for and show concern about those who are in need, will be
not merely a reflection
of the divine mercy and righteousness but also an instrument for the bringing about
of just such shalom or «abundance
of life» for God's human
children, So one might go
on, almost without ceasing, to show that response in faith to the action
of God in this vivid moment has its implications and applications for the whole range
of human
life and experience.
This perspective unmistakably reveals the unwholesomeness,
not to put it more strongly,
of our way
of life: our obsession with sex, violence, and the pornography
of «making it;» our addictive dependence
on drugs, «entertainment,» and the evening news; our impatience with anything that limits our sovereign freedom
of choice, especially with the constraints
of marital and familial ties; our preference for «nonbinding commitments;» our third - rate educational system; our third - rate morality; our refusal to draw a distinction between right and wrong, lest we «impose» their morality
on us; our reluctance to judge or be judged; our indifference to the needs
of future generations, as evidence by our willingness to saddle them with a huge national debt, an overgrown arsenal
of destruction, and a deteriorating environment; our unsated assumption, which underlies so much
of the propaganda for unlimited abortion, that only those
children born for success ought to be allowed to be born at all.
In sum, because it treats belief as an atomistic decision taken piecemeal by individuals rather than a holistic response to family
life, Nietzsche's madman and his offspring, secularization theory, appear to present an incomplete version
of how some considerable portion
of human beings actually come to think and behave about things religious —
not one by one and all
on their own, but rather mediated through the elemental connections
of husband, wife,
child, aunt, great - grandfather, and the rest.
Based
on personal experience I can
not imagine how the relationship between the two most significant figures in the
life of a
child would fail to have significant impact
on the core essence
of a
child.
I think most
of the Americans are in lost... as most
of them do
not know who their father is and it is very unfortunate... even if they know who their father is, the mom has
children from diff men outside
of marriage... and while a
child is being raised, watching what his / her parents do to enjoy their
life... so things become normal when they grow up... like if you go back early nineteen century, women were
not allowed to go to beach without being covered... and now it totally opposite... if you do
not have a boyfriend or girlfriend before 15, the parents worries that their teenage has some problem... and lot more can be listed... And then you go to Church, what our
children learn from there... they see in front
of the Church an old man's statue with long beard standing with extending
of both hand... some
of the status are blank, white, Spanish and so
on... so they are being taught God as an old dude... then you learn from Catholic that you pray to Jesus, Mother Marry, Saints, Death spirit and all these... the poll shows a huge number
of young American turns to Atheism or believing there is no God and so
on... Its hard to assume where these nations are going with the name
of modernization... nothing wrong having scientists discovered the cure
of aids or the pics from mars but... we should all think and learn from our previous generations and correct ourselves... also ppl are becoming so much slave
of material things...
Selfishness, greed, judgementalism, hate, etc. are
not the sort
of qualities I would suggest you can defend
on that day by explaining that those poor, needy people were deemed unworthy by you & yours for breaking the man - made idea that crossing an imaginary line
on his Earth to seek a better
life makes one
of God's
children unworthy
of compassion and help vis - a-vis the lesson
of the Gospels.
I am convinced that if such programmes are augmented by the vision presented by the Theology
of the Body such as that put forward in «Called to Love» by Carl Anderson and Father Jose Granados, then Catholic
children will
not only be better able to resist the false attractions
of the Culture
of Death and the nihilistic philosophies
of modern youth culture, they will also go
on to
live more complete and happier
lives.
I would
not give one cent to the collection plate if i attended service
on Sundays in the catholic church, why defend them, they don't deserve it, to make someone elses
life miserable for the rest
of those poor innocent
childrens life.
but thats
not what i'm talking about... i am discussing the god you claim to worship... even if you believe jesus was god
on earth it doesn't matter for if you take what he had to say as law then you should take with equal fervor words and commands given from god itself... it stands as logical to do this and i am confused since most only do what jesus said... the dude was only here for 30 years and god has been here for the whole time — he has added, taken away, and revised everything he has set previous to jesus and after his death... thru the prophets — i base my argument
on the book itself, so if you have a counter argument i believe you haven't a full understanding
of the book — and that would be my overall point... belief without full understanding
of or consideration to real
life or consequences for the hereafter is equal to a
childs belief in santa which is why we atheists feel it is an equal comparision... and santa is clearly a bs story... based
on real events from a real historical person but
not a magical being by any means!
I believe that God whispers to me that the Day Nursery I run from my house with my daughter is a church in His vision
of Church — a place built
on love, supporting staff
children and families, yes a business, but one run for love, providing wages to
live, to support charities too and to enable me to have a break every now and then — but God is
not yet overtly mentioned other than in 1:1 conversations where I share my faith (more than I ever did in Church).
On a bad night, we were up dozens
of times and I went an entire year
of my
life at a level
of sleep deprivation that meant I probably shouldn't have been driving the mini-van or been responsible for other
children.
This simply means that protecting
children becomes a «way
of life» for the Christian community,
not something to be put back
on the shelf once a policy has been adopted.
Filling a young mind with such nonsense, and worse, uprooting thier
lives, subjecting them to the criticism
of their peers, abandoning their futures, and in some cases, abusing them by telling them «they will
not be saved», is beyond the pale and to me, boarders
on child abuse.
Most could keep their head above the murky waters, but I drowned in them, my mind and soul became as a vegetable, void
of all emotions and
life, there are ones that have my testimony when God apprehended me and manifested Himself to me, that I became One with Him in His
life: I was a walking zombie and nothing more at that time, a vessel for my master use being cared for by my adult
children on disability with a grade 5 education, with ADDHD and dyslexia, I couldn't even spell or string 2 sentences together that made any sense: All that has been done in my
life for the last 11 yrs.
