The work process itself is similar (art pipeline, level design editing), but the game has it's own player tools and values that makes the level design guidelines very different, plus we also are heavy
on the stealth aspect of the game, which wasnt the case for Bioshock2.
Despite the emphasis
on the stealth aspects, The Evil Within 2 fumbles with clumsy stealth mechanics.

The combined forces will focus
on taking out North Korea's artillery installations and blocking an invasion, while six F - 22 Raptor fighter jets, six US Marine Corps F - 35B jump jets, and 12 US Air Force F - 35As patrol the skies with all -
aspect stealth that Pyongyang would never see coming.
There are even some
stealth aspects in the game (move over Tom Clancy) that has you performing a few sneaky maneuvers
on unsuspecting victims.
There are still
aspects of the design I will never ever agree with (class design built
on DPS parity, boring loot system, gnomes are not funny,
stealth - invisibility is lame and frustrating) and there are still problems that Blizzard need to address (combat animations, content release cycle, and for goodness sake Blizzard we're not
on dial - up modems any more, you need to add some basic collision detection between hostile characters).
While I enjoyed the puzzle
aspect of the
stealth sections overall, I still found myself confused here
on several occasions.
The
stealth aspects are spot
on and the open environments give copious sneaking possibilities.
With the epic fifth installment of the
stealth - action series released
on September 1st, the new gameplay video shows all - new footage related to the Mother Base
aspect of the game.
The biggest challenge was certainly the Social
stealth aspect, because in order to allow players to blend in the crowd, we had to replicate
on each console not only the players, but also over 100 non-playable characters.
