So, the reason for buying an ebook even if it's available to borrow from the library is the same reason you would want to buy a print book rather than check it out — you want to re-read it or you want to have your copy — whether physically
on the bookshelf in your home or
on the shelf
of your
ereader.
I would love to have a single
eReader with all those loaded
on it instead
of having to carry around these boat anchor sized texts I have now.

of your statement about forcing a KU trial — I've been a KU subscriber for quite awhile and find it worthwhile — BUT IF it's as accurate as your statement «accessing the [KU] content

ereader is difficult» THEN I have my doubts.

of them but reading
on a 6 ″ platform gets tiring.
