It sounds easy, but
on the tougher difficulties, this is no small feat.
Even the first level
on the tougher difficulty setting feels near impossible, but whilst I would usually relish the intense challenge, it's not thanks to the level design, or the enemy placement that makes BLEED such a challenging game — all of which are rather impressive even with their simplicity — and instead it's down to the boss at the end of each stage.
If you were to complete the game twice
on its toughest difficulty setting, you would be rewarded with a message promoting the future release of Axelay 2.
The thing is, sometimes you don't have to go too far off the path and you still receive a time penalty, which is added to your overall time at the end of the stage, and if you veer off into the crowd very slightly, you also get a rather steep time penalty, and as a couple of seconds here and there can be the difference between a podium finish and less, it can be a frustrating thing to happen, particularly
on the tougher difficulty levels.
Other than that the main replay value comes from the desire to play through the game
on tougher difficulty settings.
I just don't think anyone enjoys the realization that their chosen class is inherently impossible to play
on the tougher difficulty settings.
Even
on the toughest difficulty, this is a fast - food approximation of challenge.

on the normal
difficulty setting - if you don't take the time to pause and strategize,
tougher battles can destroy you.
You can go back and find all the collectibles, opt for a
tougher difficulty, or play through again with Autobots that you previously didn't use in certain sections
on your first play through, although there's still no getting away from the brevity of the game.
Besting your foes in combat is not too
tough on the medium setting, aside from a few extremely noticeable
difficulty spikes.
I'm currently playing
on Normal settings, but look to bump it up to a
tougher difficulty featuring more realistic ballistic settings for the ultimate challenge when I tackle the campaign via co-op with Ben.
The
toughest difficulty level has mechanical damage switched
on, while damage is only cosmetic or affects the handling
on some of the lesser
difficulty levels.
In typical Total War fashion each campaign has a
difficulty rank to let you know how
tough that faction's starting position is
on the world map.
Even
on Normal
difficulty, the game can be
tough.
You can sit back and let the competent AI handle things in real time
on lower
difficulties, but during
tough boss fights or
on higher
difficulty settings, you'll probably need to jump in yourself by pausing and issuing orders.
It would be pretty punishing to first beat
on Crushing (which is really really hard, at least for part one) to then be able to take
on even
tougher Brutal
difficulty.
On the higher
difficulty settings, Rainbow Six is a brutally
tough challenge.
Once a boss is beaten, which can be a rather
tough task cnosidering their high health and
difficulty curve, a portal appears
on the previous area's first floor, that transports the party straight into the next area, without having to fight the same mobs over and over again.
Even
on higher
difficulties, adversaries are killed quickly, meaning threats come from a multitude of enemies more - so than any super
tough one.
The
difficulty curve certainly varies throughout the game as there are some
tough one -
on - one encounters with walkers for Michonne to not only survive but also fight through, while there are easier areas of the game that require you to scavenge for supplies to maintain energy, so Michonne and her allies can stay focused and
on the move, alongside other parts of the game that will need you to have conversations with your allies to plan your collective escape from multiple difficult situations in order to attempt to preserve everyone's survival.
The
difficulty curve certainly fluctuates throughout the game as there are some
tough one -
on - one encounters with Fables, while you are required as the Sheriff of Fabletown to meticulously investigate crimes, disturbances and murders, alongside other parts of the game that will need you to have conversations with characters to find out what they know about the matter you are investigating.
In terms of
difficulty, the game isn't too
tough nor too easy and lets the player decide
on that.
When The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was released
on the PC, some found even the easy
difficulty too
tough.
Now, as I said earlier, this game can be
tough but there is a «Simple»
difficulty you can choose to play
on.
There are a wide variety of
difficulty settings that have a dramatic impact
on gameplay; «normal» mode was a standard challenge, while «hard» was
tough enough to prevent me from beating the first boss.
Initially kicking off with just 4 craft the player is given a range of
difficulty settings that each offer a different selection of courses and a perfectly balanced
difficulty curve (though the final race

He's almost ludicrously overpowered against ordinary foes, but he'll still have a

If you set the computer - controlled opponent
on easy it'll be a cakewalk, but if you up their
difficulty you'll be in for some
tough tennis matches.
Characters have their own unique traits too, such as the Mummy's ability to heal while blocking, something I've come to lean
on a lot
on the harder
difficulties (for me, this game got
tough, fast).
