on training and an opportunity to make a difference, while
shelter dogs receive personalized attention, mental stimulation, and instruction in basic manners − all of which helps lower their stress while
at the
shelter.

shelters, have fostered hundreds of kittens, served
on the Board of Directors of a humane society, was Director of Operations for one of the largest and most successful
shelters in the nation, was Executive Director of an open admission animal control
shelter which created the nationâ $ ™ s first (and
at the time only) No Kill community, and have consulted with dozens more, including some of the largest and best known in the nation.
In addition, since so much of the work
at ARF is done by a team of over 500

Most learn how to work with animals through apprenticeships with established trainers,
