Law firms should take up the challenge and voluntarily disclose their diversity statistics, with the concerted goal of recruiting a diverse partnership (not
just articling students) who seek to transform the entire culture of the firm.
From assisting practitioner teachers with casebook prep, and from orienting new
articling students over the years, I would suggest that the answer is not as much as we think they should.
