I have used
right nostril breathing when in need of energy to get me through a work day, or to warm my body from the deep chills that can accompany Lyme Disease.
dizziness and fatigue all the time — restless in the middle of night, waking up 2 - 3 times a night weird sudden little pains in wrist area, legs feeling heavy — dry mouth w / white tongue residue, gum and right ear ache —
right nostril always congested
Well then, how would alternating the flow of air through the left and
right nostrils affect the autonomic nervous system?
When it is overly dominant,
right nostril energy may lead to fever, agitation, overassertiveness, and lack of concentration.
One of my favorite exercises accesses the polarity of our nervous system with left nostril breathing for calming and
right nostril breathing for energizing.
I have known the mortification of having it spout from
my right nostril onto my tray table during the flight home.
Breathe out through the mouth and in through the right side as you close the left nostril with the ring finger; now breathe out through the left nostril as you close
the right nostril with the thumb.
Bring your right hand up to your face and block
the right nostril with the right thumb.
Open
your right nostril and release the breath slowly through the right side; pause briefly at the bottom of the exhale.
It starts on the right side of the body and dominates
the right nostril.
Close
the right nostril and breathe in through the left side, then close the left nostril and breathe out through the right.
Then, close
your right nostril with your right thumb.
Exhale the breath out
the right nostril while plugging the left, and hold the breath out for a count.
I placed my thumb on the outside of
my right nostril and pressed it closed.
Then press your left nostril gently with the ring finger and little finger while releasing your thumb from
the right nostril.
To begin the breathing exercise, lightly press your thumb down to close
the right nostril and exhale a long, slow, and unforced breath through your left nostril.
Exhale through
your right nostril.
It's likely you'll feel a difference between the two; your inhale, for example, is touching
your right nostril near the septum, but your left nostril below the wing.
It also positions the stomach at the bottom of your body as well as leaves
the right nostril open and the left nostril closed.
Left nostril breathing: Close off
the right nostril with your thumb and breathe gently in and out through the left nostril only.
• Breathe in through
your right nostril for a count of ten.
Close
your right nostril with your right thumb, your other fingers are stretched straight up as antennas.
Begin to breath long and deep only through
your right nostril only.
Insert the spout into
your right nostril.
Turn your head to the right and let water move into
the right nostril and exit the left nostril.
Close
the right nostril with a thumb.
Bring your right - hand index finger and middle finger between your brows as the ring finger and little finger rest on
the right nostril.
Press down your thumb on
the right nostril and calmly exhale through the left nostril.

Right nostril, Surya or pingala: breath is heating and energizing; when this side is overly dominant anger, hyperactivity, aggression, or elevated blood pressure may result.
Inhale through the right, then again close
the right nostril and exhale through the left.
As we manipulate the flow of breath through the nostrils, we access the Surya (sun) or pingala nadi through
the right nostril and the Chandra (moon) or ida nadi through the left.
To begin, use the thumb of your right hand to close
your right nostril.

the right nostril.
Gently close
your right nostril with your thumb.
Our right nostril is energetically associated with our body's heating energy, symbolized by the «Sun» and the syllable HA, our left nostril with our body's cooling energy, symbolized by the «Moon» and the syllable THA.
Releasing your thumb, slowly exhale out of
your right nostril.
Using your thumb, close off
your right nostril.

your right nostril, pausing just for a moment.
