Mix ingredients in a blender or in a large deep bowl using an immersion
stick blender until there are no visible lumps.
Also, it's very helpful to have some sharp knives, a crockpot, a hand -
held stick blender and a food processor.
To start you off, your basic blender, food processor, or hand -
held stick blender will work just fine.
With stick blender blend everything gently so that compact like texture develops which you can shape into a pate.
Ultimately it reminds me to think about what was happening before the age
of stick blenders and food processors!
Puree this soup until desired consistency, I used my little 2 cup food processor in two batches, but feel free to use your nifty
stick blender if you have one of those guys.

kenwood stick blender with attachments will not allow me to do this eventhough the power is good, it just stops dead.

I think
a stick blender like would work fine for smoothies, but I haven't used you one you linked, so I can't recommend 100 % for nut butters etc..
Also - I used my hand /
stick blender to blend this instead of a blender, and I found that chunks were too big and not roasted soft enough so I had to keep them in the oven a lot longer - next time I would cut then in small chunks so they're easier for the immersion blender to process.
