Maybe I'm wrong, and Evolution just never showed its radical new take on
online race modes because they simply weren't ready to show.
In addition to the game's single player career mode, there are
online race modes with up to 8 players, challenge modes to race against ghosts for the fastest time, and 4 - 6 (yes, SIX PLAYER on Xbox One / 4 on Windows 10) split - screen local multiplayer.
I also bought this game because of the 8 player

Sonic Riders doesn't boast too many tracks, nor does it have an

Overall the
online high score tracking and multiplayer
mode add a ton of incentive to keep playing Reckless
Racing after you've earned every medal in the single player portion.
The career
mode is quite in - depth in the game, however for me, the highlight was the multiplayer which allows up to 16 players to
race online.
Local multiplayer lets you play with up to four players and you can also
race your friends in synchronous and asynchronous
online modes.
Pinball FX2 offers brand new tables and a host of new features and improvements: new state - of - the - art physics model that surpasses anything available so far, full compatibility for Pinball FX owners,
online races, hotseat and split - screen multiplayer
modes, Operators Menu with custom settings and advanced play info.
There's the standard game
modes like Time Trial but my biggest gripe is the lack of
online multiplayer — while there's split screen capabilities, not having a dedicated matchmaking system for multiplayer, in this day and age, is disappointing because it could have been a blast to
race against five other friends.
It's possible to skip over all the story cinematics if all you really want to do is
race, but there's not much point in the Story
mode if you do, as you can just opt to
race online or create custom matches to run through by yourself or with a friend.
Combined with a track full of other cars sporting decent AI (or a track full of real players in the game's
online modes) it gives you almost as much to think about as you would in a real
race.
As neat as the
racing looks, we're most looking forward to exploring this post-apocalyptic world with up to 16
online friends in «free roam»
mode.
No doubt
racing fans were piqued by TDU2's unorthodox approach to
online racing — the game hopes to become the first ever massively multiplayer
online racing game, with «always on»
online modes, persistent user profiles, and a highly touted seamless integration betwixt
online and offline
modes of play.
