Perhaps this is because Niantic largely makes its press rounds with tech outlets rather than fansites or gamingoutlets (with Polygon being the onlygaming - centered outlet pre-E3 that I can recall it talking to).
Unlike other media outlets, only Mister Raroo's write up delivers such hard - hitting content like eating sugary cereal, watching the gaming media go into a food frenzy, and talking to others with food on one's face.
