We have friends whose
kids are going to the public
kindergarten (
only 1/2 day) with the «wraparound» enrichment program for the rest of the day; their little ones are already stressed out because they have just 2.75 hours
in school, during which they're basically being trampled on with mountains of «instruction,» and the wraparound program gives just 20 minutes for lunch while foregoing rest time
in favor of «reading instruction» and «homework help.»
