only a few seasons, degrading wildlife habitat, and outcompeting
native salt marsh
vegetation.
Interestingly they
only do this when the fire has been particularly intense, leaving no pockets of unburnt
vegetation behind for
native animals to hide in.
And bushfires are not the
only hazard to
native vegetation that comes with climate change.
