striker the ones who were already bought a
striker at the start i.e. chelsea and man u and man city (nolito) and tottenham, of course there should have been other top clubs in search of a

striker and scored 4 goals or something i think, if he had one worldclass or equally good

with walcott and giroud, which i had high hopes for but sadly
only worked for half the season

with injury, so we were already one player down, and amazingly, we actually
only have one out - and - out
striker in Giroud.
Everyone n football and most of the same fans know Sanchez is our
only player of quality, Henry said he is the
only player who would get into the Spurs squad, and we play him
with one hand tied behind his back on the left wing
with effectively no existing central
striker to worry defenders (unless you count Giroud as a central
striker but I refuse to believe Giroud worries any central defender).

Fair enough, I just wonder if he'd still be playing top flight football if he had been at United from the start
with such a horrendous injury record, Fergie would have shipped him off ages before his eventual recovery, dare I say he was destined to win the Premier league the season he won it
with United anyways, he was the hottest
striker in the league for those two seasons, the
only thing we lacked in his final season at Arsenal was enough creativity behind him and a lack of suitable replacement to take ocassionally take the load off him, but then Cazorla, Poldi and Giroud had been brought in for re-inforcements, he played
with a patently inferior team to Arsenal's that season at United,
with the exception of Rooney of course, he single handedly carried them to the title, what away to show loyalty.
Are we really surprised by Wenger though?this is the same manager who
only signed a goalkeeper

striker!

@john0711 it's people like you I don't get.Do you know Chamakh may have been a worse player than Giroud but let's be honest Chamakh was a better finisher than Giroud.Even him was labelled as garbage. Can someone name a
striker with exception of Gervinho (man he was awfully out of this world) who played for Araenal who Giroud had better finishing than.Giroud is to me part of Arsenal's worst finishers ever and please let's not deny it and note I considered
only «finishing»..
The
only regret is we have lost a good chant for a
striker who was / is never prolific and went through too many barren spells
with his goal scoring. While the Chavs put more and better crosses into the box (yes take note Bellerin) Giroud has no pace to get on the end of most of them.No great loss as far as I'm concerned and good money for a bench player at best
There has been lots of speculation and any number of Arsenal transfer rumours linking us
with this highly rated
striker and the constant comments from his club have
only added to this.
With Mahrez, Alexis and Ozil behind him, Giroud should score 20 goals He was
only 4 short this season, but if we get Mahrez (IF), I still hope we get a
striker
It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced at Arsenal without looking at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and
with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a
striker who plays
with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing
with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the
only thing different between his experiences in Real and
with the German team versus his time at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer
only strikers left are cavani and lacazzette n i doubt cavani is on the market plus am not hearing anything serious
with lacazzette.
we have at most 4 real quality outfielders i.e. players that other top european teams would take... ozil sanchez santi and kos... in my books you need 6... we are two short but worse the quality of others is lower than needed...
only bellerin coq and wilshere have that potential... and there are problems
with each still... we should have put in bids in june for griezman kondogbia and the Burussia
striker as all could have been prized away
with right bid plus players thrown in IMO... now its too late and wenger is in some weird gallic world of existential hope and denial and fans are just praying we do nt lose opening 2 matches for first time in over two decades... but no one is really confident against a team which is sure to finish around mid table...
The difference between the two
strikers is that Giroud plays game in and game out while Van Persie had
only 1 fit season
with us.
OT: My wishes: — Wenger to stop playing Mert ahead of Gab... this is a must — Wenger being ruthless and stop being stubbornness «big wish» — Wenger to change his transfer policy «big wish as well» — Not count on very injury prone players (Wilshere, Walcott, Ox, Welbeck), take them
only as a bounce because they would never stay fit... It is a dilemma because they are all quality home grown players, so I can not say «get rid of them all» — Give our smart attacking players (Sanchez, Cazorla, Ozil) what they need, a
striker... that is a must — Strengthen the flank
with another quality because all the sights now on Sanchez — Get rid of useless team players (Campbell, Flamini, yes they are useless) and replace them
with better players (promote or buy good ones)-- Loan Chamber... 16M is too much to ruin
With Chambers and Debuchy arguably not of a higher quality than Jenkinson and Sagna, it leaves Wenger
only improving in quality through a substitute goalkeeper and a
striker who he is currently playing out of position on the left wing.
