Most blunders can be remedied by backtracking, but if the to - and - fro of Chrono Trigger erred on frustration - Hyper Light Drifter's
opacity does little to patch things over.

done through a tug of war between temperature and

Strangely, as Solomon et al. clearly are not aware that the sun
does not shine at night, whereas the
opacity (OPQ, a term unknown to the IPCC) of the sky becomes relevant, if we replace AVGLO by OPQ, then we have these results, that OPQ has a larger role than [CO2], but without being statistically significant, whereas the main player as before is the ESRL's «precipitable water», i.e., atmospheric water vapor, denoted here as [H2O], hugely statistically significant (t stat = 3.39, well above the benchmark 2.0).

The atmosphere's «optical thickness» (or «vertical
opacity») was not relevant to that flaw and so I
did not mention it.
And one thing still remains on the table: the fact that in his comment «RP on February 19, 2017 at 2:55 pm» he manifestly
did not feel any necessitiy to account for the atmosphere's vertical
opacity.
In that sense RP
did address the issue of
opacity.
You
do not consider what is part of the calculation in the page I linked to above: the optical thickness (or vertical
opacity) of the atmosphere.
You
do not want to
do business in a country that is known for some
opacity in its corporate registries and be given information that is either vague or opaque or somehow not believable and simply close your eyes to the risk that this might actually be a transaction with a prohibited person or in respect of one of the prohibited activities.

opacity or obscurity may — like dictatorship — be more administratively convenient, this
does not sit comfortably with the democratic values of openness, transparency and stakeholder accountability.
