Science Commons, a subset of the U.S. Creative Commons movement, has
an Open Access Law Program.
So says Michael Carroll in The Movement for

What can be done to ensure
open and equitable
access to information while complying with the
law?
The Reader Privacy Act updates state
law to safeguard the free exchange of ideas and
open discourse by ensuring that government and third parties can not
access Californians» reading records without proper justification.
Unlike banks that are
open to anyone,
laws require credit unions like RBFCU to have a defined field of membership, which means you have to be a member to
access the products and services credit unions provide.

law need to come from lawyers, and so it's quite likely that not all the ideas about
open access to the
law need to come from lawyers.
