work by Jim Nutt — his first in the UK in decades.

My kitchen is still a
work in progress but the old oak
cabinets will be painted white and the
cabinet to the right of the sink above the dishwasher and between the window and patio door will be taken down for
open shelves (another inspiration from your last kitchen).
I've found the balance between
open shelves, glass doors and one freestanding glass door
cabinet for special stuff
works best.
I'm going with a warm white to cover the 1980s oak
cabinets because I love white kitchens but also I think white will
work better in my small kitchen as a backdrop rather than a color calling attention to itself and better with the rest of my small and somewhat

The only issue is that the backsides of the
cabinets are all unfinished which doesn't
work for an
open bar set up.
