I've received quite a few questions / comments about crate training since I posted a picture of Kitsune laying in
an open crate on my Instagram account.

We have a pretty good - sized dog and her accompanying
crate (24 «x36 «x36») and we were able to get the
crate into the car
on the 60 side - thus keeping one seat in the back still
open.
For fifty years, she has translated novels into Arabic, usually starting a new book
on the first of January, and packing the finished work away, sealed in a
crate, never to be
opened again.
At night, I placed the
crate close to my bed, and if she was fussy, I tapped
on top, or wiggled my fingers through the
openings to distract her.
Noelle is naturally very smart and in the time she's been in her forever home, her mom has taught her to shake a paw, high five, sit and stay, sit pretty, spin in a circle
on her hind legs, and
open her
crate door (it helps that Noelle food motivated.)

If a
crate is not readily available, be sure to keep a collar
on your boxer so you can grab the collar and have a tight hold of your boxer when you
open the door.
The most common are molded - plastic airline shipping
crates and the
open - wire types that usually come with a metal tray
on the bottom.
• If you plan
on crate training your dog, leave the
crate open so that he can go in whenever he feels like it in case he gets overwhelmed.
That said, I really recommend you just leave their
crate door
open at night and let them choose if they want to sleep in the
crate or
on the floor.

crate, or
open up child proof locks, or
open the latch
on the closet to find your most expensive leather shoes?
He does like to sleep
on the foot of the bed at night and he will go in an
open crate or else a snuggle bed to nap but he does not need to be
crated when no one is home.
If you must leave your dog for long periods of time
on a regular basis, there are many options for you to keep your dog happy and healthy; keeping the dog confined to a small room with his
crate's door
opened enables him to go in and out of the
crate allowing the dog to stretch his legs and move around while keeping him safe and secure at the same time; calling a dog walker, or contacting a doggy daycare facility to take your dog for a walk and allow him / her to relieve themselves during the day.
Because of this, always opt for
crates that are easy to
open up or clean, and save yourself a headache of needing to reach into a soiled box and scrub it out
on your hands and knees.
Once a pet is checked in and officially
on board a scheduled flight, a good relocation specialist knows to zip tie and redundantly lock the
crate, posting a note commanding airline personnel not to
open the door for the duration of travel.
It is important to not keep a puppy inside the
crate for too long; if you need to leave home for more than one hour, it may be a good idea to leave your puppy in a small, safe area with the
crate open and puppy pads several feet away
on the floor in case he needs to potty.
Hello I have been putting paper down
on the floor for 5 years nearly now, I am going to try to get her used to doing her business outside, but my dog used to have a real problem with being spiteful, we've stil got the
crate, and we put her in it when we go out anywhere and put a lock
on cage because she manages to
open one of the doors in the cage, she would spitefully wee in her cage or
on the floor and she gives you a threatening look before she does it.
As well as these two doors, there are also
openings on the sides and back of the
crate, which gives it four - way ventilation, keeping your dog cool and stopping her from feeling too «boxed in» as other solid plastic
crates might.
I left the door
open on my lab puppy's
crate (a wire cage that a full grown dog could stand in) whenever she was out of the
crate.
You may nd that your dog will go into the
crate and lie down there
on his own with the door
open, as dogs are «den» animals and instinctively enjoy a nice cozy place they can snuggle into and retire from the world.

crate is available and

Open the
crate door and attach puppy's leash (and collar or harness if they aren't already
on).
Or, if your puppy is in his
crate, have your puppy sit,
open the
crate door, take the pup by the collar, snap
on the leash and then say, «Let's go» and walk your puppy quickly to the door.
