In Eco or Comfort mode the engine note is barely noticeable, and only when
you open the throttle does it take on a harsher, more excited tone.

I recently
did a head gasket repair on my 1986 Kawasaki GPZ1000RX and now that everything is back together it starts up fine, idles fine, and revs high without a problem while in neutral, but when I put it into gear and started driving it it'll drive fine when giving it slight
throttle, but when I get to the higher revs, or when I
open the
throttle too quickly it bogs down badly, and starts stuttering, but eventually starts revving higher and leveling out.

I've even seen one person lock the front while still holding the
throttle open (it didn't end well).
You'll also want to select Dynamic or Race mode on the Pro-DNA system, even if you're using manual mode, because not only
do the
throttle's response and the ZF's shifts sharpen up, but the ESP loosens its reins, too (it switches off all together in Race mode) and the exhaust valves
open to increase the volume.
As long as you don't floor the car (sending the car into Wide
Open Throttle /
Open Loop mode), being «on boost» won't negatively effect fuel consumption.
With a manual transmission what I would
do with the above example curve would be to have the accelerator at wide
open throttle from 1500 - 2500rpm and shift at 2500rpm for each gear.
At WOT (Wide
Open Throttle) at very low RPM, the engine will almost stop, as if there is a big hole in the fuel map and it doesn't provide the correct mixture.
You should: 1) check the freeplay is correct - if it is holding the
throttle open then adjusting the idle screw on the carburettor won't
do much.
GM touted the lengths it's gone to make the four - banger feel refined; for the most part, it
does feel smooth, although the engine tends to drone during long stretches of wide -
open throttle.
However, Edo
does not merely use the butterfly valves to produce an incredible exhaust note at wide -
open throttle.
All you have to
do now is snap the
throttle open.
I had a wide
open throttle miss, supercharged engine, and i was able to determine a coil was breaking down when I
open up the gap rather large, 2 coils handled gap, one didn't, changed it and fixed my problem.
Really pushing the GTI doesn't
open up a layer of intimacy with the car, and neither the
throttle nor even trail braking seem to allow you any access to more malleable, engaging behaviour.
Using this kit is appropriate for both professional and home garage mechanics who can confidently
do the following: Users must be able to find the
throttle body,
open the
throttle plate and set the idle.
You need to check the
throttle body and pedal when engine is not running to make sure it
opens and closes all the way and
does not bind at all.
I think you can tell that I'm not exactly thrilled with the CVT in the Civic, but that's the enthusiast in me talking who doesn't like the whine at wide -
open -
throttle.
Even through the usual expressway tunnels, at wide
open throttle, the SRT8 just didn't seem loud enough.
For a four - cylinder, the engine doesn't sound half bad at wide -
open throttle, and it's fairly fuel - efficient, netting EPA ratings of 23 miles per gallon in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

throttle, but I'm sure on the
open highway the Bluetec boost could get your blood pumping.
The quick - shifting gearbox, which can be controlled via paddles,
does add to the occasion if you choose to change gear yourself, but you're never left craving that next
open stretch of road to fully
open the
throttle like you might be in a more focused machine — not least because the fuel gauge falls at an alarming rate if you
do.
You don't need to downshift;
throttle bodies don't have to
open; fuel and air don't need to combust; the car just goes.
But some of the Kia engineers want it to
open at 30 per cent
throttle so if you're
doing Main Street laps of Bathurst or whatever, people can hear your car.
Only when the
throttle is held wide
open does the CVT's true nature reveal itself, holding the engine rpm steady as the vehicle accelerates.
