The kitchen is outfitted with custom cabinets and includes a generous pantry, a 24 ″ propane range, microwave / vent combo, 10 cu ft fridge, large single bowl sink set in the corner with a nice view out of corner windows,
open upper shelves, and room for a combo W / D under the counter.

I always tell my husband he's good for two things: getting stuff off
upper shelves and
opening jars.

upper cabinets, no standard island, just a free - flowing, free - organizing way to not only store functional items of dish and glassware but somewhere for me to affectionately display my personal objets d'art as well.
Like many designers now a days, Brinson chose to replace
upper cabinets with
open shelving, the goal being to let even more light pour in from the many windows.

Just another thought / idea... maybe just do storage with doors on just the lower portion of the walls and
open shelving on the
upper part (for books etc.) Add a ladder on a rod iron track that goes across the whole thing.
