opened a safety defect investigation into the 2012 Nissan Versa.

open, bald tyres, defective brakes and steering, and other serious problems that compromise
safety and could contribute to a road traffic collision.

Although the government has not ordered a recall and no
safety defects have been found, several
safety groups have charged that the tailgate can pop
open in a rear - end collision.
