In one early scene, Offerman's superior officer demands (after
an opening chase filmed with an atypical aesthetic) that they go through their next mission (movie) exactly the same way they did their first one.

The
opening sequences are among the best ever
filmed treating the sheer terror and adrenaline rush of an out - and - out
chase, and are nearly silent the whole time, such is the high action quotient.
Of course, «The Peacemaker's» real selling point is action, and Leder proves herself a crackerjack action director, with some seriously intense set - pieces — a train wreck that
opens the
film, a horrifying nuclear blast, a car
chase in a crowded plaza, a foot
chase through the streets of New York and, best of all, a nail - biting standoff on a bridge between a truck armed with nuclear weapons and military helicopters.
Instead, Dredd is a small - scale introductory escapade — outside of an
opening chase scene and the sequences set within the Grand Hall of Justice, the
film confines itself within the concrete interiors of Peach Trees.
The whizzing sound of cars flying from one speaker to the next during the
film's motorcycle
chase is treated with as much care as the subtle rumble of the Airbus from the
film's cold
open.
The
film bravely
opens with an event for which Brown is arguably better known (certainly in lower brow circles) than for his entire discography combined, that being the drug - addled police -
chase he embarked on in the days following his son's death in 1988.
We get the usual globe - trotting and fights and
chases (The
film's James Bond-esque
opening credits prepare us for such things).
Colors pop throughout, particularly in the
opening chase sequence and Bob's Diner, a location for many of the
film's pivotal moments.
That new perspective is the way the
film looks like an action movie, filled with car
chases and fights and shoot - outs, while behaving in a way more akin to a musical (For further evidence of the musical's influence, one need only look to the
opening credits, which has the hero dancing around the city, as an assortment of visual gags highlight certain lyrics).
While there is less street racing merely for the pleasure of putting pedestrians and property at risk of death or destruction, the
film still includes a plethora of car
chases, explosive crashes, bullets and bikinis — and that's just in the
opening credits.
It simply is a continuation, and escalation of the cartoonish conclusion of the first
film: exhibit A being the car
chase - fight sequence that begins mere moments following the
film's
opening title on the Kingsman's tailor shop window.

The
film opens with a daring rescue and ends with a massive
chase in the wake of an equally massive cataclysm.
The action sequences are breathtaking throughout, but the bookends of the
opening chase / fight sequence and the wall of destruction just before the
film's conclusion are among the best I've ever seen.
Rapid - fire editing and an aggressive car
chase open this
film and set the tone for what's to come.

film opens with Bertrand Zobrist (Foster) being
chased through some classic Italian streets only to jump to his death from one of the grand towers.
With its frenetic
opening chase and murder sequence onboard a speeding train, the
film recalled the slick and stylised murder scenes from Suspiria, while the
film's swooping autonomous camerawork was also reminiscent of earlier Argento arthouse horror experiments such as Deep Red.
No. 223 runs into the woman during the
film's
opening chase sequence, and then later on in a bar, where he picks her up and takes her to a hotel room, where she promptly falls asleep.
The game
opens with one of the most horribly - acted live - action bits ever
filmed as a cast of S.T.A.R.S. lookalikes mimes being
