There are straight - up demolition races where the goal is to just slam
into opponent cars over and over again until everyone has exploded but you.
This is no Burnout classic demolition derby where you can
smash opponents cars to tatters with a few rams.
Not to mention the fact you do nt have to win to have fun with this (game rewards you alot for slamming into and
destroying opponents cars).
Frustratingly,
opponent cars seem curiously immune to any loss of control when the shoe is on the other foot.
The more interesting of the modes is the pink slip mode which can have you either win
your opponents car or lose your car for good.
Sticky Pigeons is a two - player versus game about trying to tip over
your opponents car, that's perfectly balanced on a cliff, by throwing sticky pigeons at his / her car.
Add the realistic simulation of handling the different cars and the demolition and the realistic vehicle destruction just adds to the total experience which almost lets you feel the players pain as you smash into
your opponents car in high speed.
Hell, performing a move at the right time could actually crash
your opponents car, getting them busted since their car won't be able to move.
Other touches such as the rippling water, lighting effects, reflective bodywork,
opponent cars, trackside detail and most spectacularly, the crash sequences, are all what you might call «arcade exact».
These are never overpowered game winners, but in a mass brawl with 4 - 5 opponents all spamming special it is a sight to behold, with my personal favourite being Mr. Slam as he picks up
the opponents car and casually tosses it about.
