Action Caucus may have put up a motion to support
Opt Out, but that motion repeats an earlier attempt by the Movement
of Rank and File Educators (MORE) Caucus to pass a similar resolution in March.
It is also true that other union affiliates have taken
action in the past several months to support parents who choose to
opt their children
out of taking the PARCC or Smarter Balance testing that are rolling
out nationwide this year.

Action of New York and the Alliance for Quality
of Education (AQE) all sent
