It doesn't appear to have an
optical out though and, unlike the SNES Mini, it seems to require it's own power
cable instead of a micro USB or USB Type - C
connection.
This is a pain because most receivers out there come with the Digital
Optical connection rather than the Digital Coaxial and if you want to utilize the Digital
Optical input, you are forced to open the front cover and run a
cable around to the back — it's not a pretty site.
As for the
connections it has both an HDMI input and output, USB, 3.5 mm jack, and an
optical cable.
We also tried this setup with a regular Aux - In
cable with some success, though the
optical connection offered a cleaner signal.
(It also supports full
optical digital
connections, but you'll need to supply a separate mini-Toslink
optical cable.)
This headset is compatible with both PS4 and PC and comes with
cables for USB and
optical connections on those devices as well as an option to use the headset with a mobile phone.
The unit includes one HDMI output and three HDMI inputs, all easy to access, as well as an
optical digital audio
cable if you prefer the video
connections to go through the TV directly.

cable box or satellite IR remote control, eliminating the need for multiple remotes and comes with both an HDMI and
optical cable for easy
connection to TVs.
The
optical audio
connections are some of the biggest upgrades over the PLYR 2, since they allow a much higher fidelity audio
connection to your computer or game system through one
cable, can pass the audio through to your speakers so you don't have to juggle audio
connections, and lets the receiver decode Dolby Digital 7.1 - channel surround sound.
Sadly, no
optical or HDMI
connection cables are included.
That might be using the included
cable, but it also supports an
optical connection - although you'll have to supply your own
cable for that.
