Love your fall decor, no disrespect but I have been seeing
orange pumpkins for a while so it is nice to see something different.
It's not always easy to combine coastal with fall colors (
no orange pumpkins for me either, although I love them in others» homes.)
The bright orange color can be enjoy as a regular coconut macaroon or shape into
orange pumpkins for Halloween.

I haven't fallen off the
pumpkin bandwagon yet... so, I've been representing the
orange hands and feet
for a while now.
Also, instead of doing the
orange zest, I used a tsp of
pumpkin spice
for a different flavor.
It's just... not kosher haha I'm still waiting
for my cooler weather so I can wear my
pumpkin -
orange sweater.
And don't get me started on
pumpkin, take one look at my
orange skin and you'll understand my love
for that stuff.
I make a similar meatless chili in a crockpot (I make a LOT at once and freeze
for a quick lunch or dinner
for 1 or 2)- and I think you'll like this idea: along with carrots, celery, onions and garlic, I usually use 3 - 4 cans of (low sodium, rinsed) beans (2 kidney, 1 each of another; I like black and small white or pink beans), 3 - 4 red / yellow /
orange sweet peppers (I but at the farmer's market when fresh and cut up and freeze the extras
for making chili in the fall / winter); 1 or 2 zucchini and / or yellow squash, and (drum roll) 1 can of organic
PUMPKIN PUREE!
However, the addition of dates keeps this
pumpkin pie nicecream from freezing into an icy
orange brick, so you can actually pop it in the freezer and come back
for another scoop the next day.
You can choose to make them as
pumpkins for a classroom treat or simply enjoy as a regular coconut
orange macaroon.
I just made

orange extract to the icing, which also pairs SO well with the
