While playing the game, we've listened to
orchestral pieces reminiscent of film soundtracks from the 80s.
For Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Special and its PSP successor, Matsuo made
orchestral arrangements of numerous
pieces from the numbered Final Fantasy series
while Sugiyama handled Dragon Quest arrangements.
While this is a bit of a disappointment, as this is my favorite portion of the
piece, it's still awesome to have a live
orchestral version of Chrono Cross music on CD.
and, like most Kirby games, a beautiful musical score that will, sadly, probably become underappreciated (the game playfully uses
orchestral pieces for most stages, whether original or remixed tunes,
while the aforementioned secret stages pull a classic track right out of Kirby's past).
