So I made these by the recipe except I swapped honey for
organic maple syrup because that's what I had in my pantry.

OK I read through these posts, and after reading about the 117 year old Italian women, I don't believe that eating raw eggs will make you a centurion,
because they may have regenerative DNA, but I put a raw egg in some
organic keifer with some high protein milk and a little
organic maple syrup and yum!
I have made my own granola for many years and my basic recipe is pretty much the same as yours except I use
organic pure
maple syrup, instead of honey
because it gives it such a wonderful flavor.
- Sweeteners:
organic liquid stevia extract (just like the protein powder, I always buy this online
because it's MUCH cheaper... it's also all natural and non-GMO, not artificial) and pure
maple syrup.
I used
organic maple syrup and omitted the orange zest
because I wasn't sure about that combo.
I prefer honey over
maple syrup because I feel it's difficult to find real
organic maple syrup.
This is so frustrating,
because the one thing that seems to remain true about high quality
organic Agave is that it creates far less of a blood sugar spike then honey or
maple syrup.
I don't like to use Agave so I substituted
organic maple syrup and I added in some vanilla (just
because).
