the original game needed anything new to warrant a re-release, it would have been nice to see Nintendo go the extra mile and maybe add in a few new levels and online play, the later of which is a huge letdown.
The way you meet your starter Pokémon is different than in Sun and Moon, but it's not like this change is a super interesting new way to meet your starter or anything, and it's not like the way you met your starter in

It could be argued that Portal didn't
need a sequel, such a unique and complete experience as it was, but since it got one, it might as well be this; a
game that stays true to the spirit of the
original, while at the same time expanding and adding onto it, without over-complicating the experience.
However now that it is here, I see this as a great stepping stone for future action RPG's, as this is a
game that has a lot of great potential, but still
needs some new
original ideas to take it to the next level.
