Square Enix has made a big business out of
porting their older catalog to iOS alongside some of their
original mobile titles, and their most recent example of this is an excellent
port of the 2008 Nintendo DS remake of the 2002 PlayStation remake of the
original 1990 RPG classic Dragon Quest IV.
In collaboration with Sonic Team, the game is being made by Headcannon, PagodaWest Games, and Christian Whitehead, who gained resonance in Sonic fan culture when he helped Sega
port the
original games to
mobile.
Unfortunately, it exhibits plenty of reasons why it's a terrible
port for Switch gamers, including keeping the
original aspect ratio of the
mobile game.
While it is still 2048, and is enjoyable enough to play for fans of the
original mobile game, Physical Contact: 2048 isn't an impressive

These problems are perhaps forgivable, but what is not is the fact that the
original Colin McRae Rally 2.o had a cockpit camera with properly modelled interiors and this
mobile port does not.
They're actually
ports of the
mobile versions of each game, so they should be spruced up a bit from the
original releases.
Developed by Eden Games (the studio behind the V - Rally and Test Drive: Unlimited franchises), Gear.Club Unlimited is expected to be predominantly a
port of the
original mobile title - with the only likely major modification being the added support for the Nintendo Switch's Joy - Con controllers.
As the SEGA Forever collection expands through months and years, it will include both official emulations and
ported games that pan all SEGA console eras, each adapted specifically for
mobile devices while remaining faithful to the
original games.
Its not exactly as fun as it was on console, but you can blame that partly on the fact that handhelds &
mobiles don't recreate the control dynamics of consoles really well, and that's one of the reasons most console
ports don't feel as good as

Staying with the Vita, the stealthy June release of
mobile port Adventures of Mana (itself a remake of
