It is not a dead ringer for Hyrule Warriors as the
game does actually try to be a true Fire Emblem adventure, whilst living up to what we expect from a
game based on the Warriors brand, but despite a
lot of the
originality all parties tried to give it to make it feel like something entirely new, there is no denying one little fact.
Though Ridiculous Fishing easily outperforms most
of the competition in
originality and gameplay polish, three dollars is still a
lot to ask for a distraction - centric iOS
game.
Yes, it's got a
lot of originality in there, not least
of all these almighty, magnificent machines (I could watch a Tall Neck for hours); but there's nothing bad about a new
game borrowing from greats that came before it.
It's had a
lot less effort put in than some other Mario
games did with the recycled music and ideas, but it does have some
originality present and things like the presence
of a secret boss show that it might be a minor step forward for the series in some sense.
If you're looking for groundbreaking
originality, then you're not going to see a
lot of it here, besides the fact that your bears can use a jetpack to jump over trails (this
game's equivalent
of Snake «s snake body and Tron «s light cycle trails).
