In some Mazda vehicles the faulty purge valve can cause the code P0446 and
other EVAP codes.
- In some late 90's to early 2000's Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler vehicles, cracks in the rubber hoses and elbows that connect some of the components of the EVAP system are fairly common to cause the code P0455 and
other EVAP codes.
- In Mazda Tribute and Mazda 6, the stuck open purge valve (solenoid) could cause the code P0446 or
other EVAP codes.
First, it could be due to a bad EVAP solenoid or
other EVAP system component near the fuel tank that is causing a disruption of fuel capacity...
If
other EVAP system diagnostic trouble codes have been stored by the PCM, they should be diagnosed in the order that they appear in the OBD - II scanner.
Replacing
other EVAP control system components before checking any of the components listed above.
Not exact matches
The Buick LaCrosse came in with a check engine light and a code P0496 «
EVAP system flow during non-purge condition» with no
other symptoms or concerns.
This may be related to
other possible malfunctions in your
EVAP system, such as a faulty vent valve solenoid.
