I mean, neither
Koopas or Goombas even make an appearance, or a large handful of
other classic Mario enemies, so longtime fans may have felt like this one didn't technically «count» or something, especially owning to the cornerstone of the game being FLUDD and cleaning pollution from the game.
This is even further compounded by the fact that the alternate costume line - up is so diverse (Bowser Jr. offers the
other seven
Koopa kids, Olimar offers
other Pikmin pilots, Wii Fit Trainer offers both male and female variety, Little Mac offers his arcade wireframe mode).
Players are first given a basic arsenal of tools, from brick and question blocks to Goombas and
Koopa Troopas, with basic mushrooms and a couple
other bits of trimming.
The game features two different types of
Koopa Troopas: one is green (teal in underground levels except in the remake in Super Mario All - Stars) and it walks in one direction until it is defeated or falls, and the
other is red and patrols a set area without walking off any edges.
However, this only works if the
Koopa that is hit hasn't retreated into its shell; hitting another shell results in that shell moving, and two shells in motion hitting each
other simply rebound.
If jumped on, a
Koopa recedes into its Shell, and can then be jumped on and used as a projectile with which to attack
other enemies.

Koopa Troopas have no teeth compared to
other species (but may be drawn with them for expression purposes).
The Bowser Impostor of World 2's castle is a
Koopa Troopa and like the
other ones, its true identity will be revealed if it's defeated by fireballs.
Unlike almost all of their
other appearances, the
Koopa Troopas in this game do not act aggressively towards Mario; in fact, they attempt to escape whenever they see him coming.
There is never any indication of how this particular
Koopa Troopa earned his rank in the
Koopa Pack, as there is nothing to differentiate him from any

Koopa Troopa.
These
Koopa Troopas can be kicked at each
other like in the Super Mario Bros. series, and they may right themselves after being jumped on.

Koopa Troopa, which, like
other giant versions of normal enemies in this game, can only be found on Giant Land, and Dry Bones, an undead version usually found in fortresses.
In Bowl Over, the solo player uses a
Koopa Shell in order to knock over the three

In The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, Bullet Bills make a small appearance in the episode «Mush - Rumors», where they are fired from the Doomship alongside
other munitions during the
Koopa family's attack on a group of «aliens», who were actually a family of lost humans.

Koopa Troopas have to be defeated so Mario can get an item and warp to
other times in history.

Luigi's Mansion, Coconut Mall, Waluigi Pinball, Daisy Cruiser, Maple Treeway,
Koopa Cape, and the Airship Fortress help make the Retro Cup a veritable who's who of my favorite courses, while several
others are quite enjoyable as well.
Trapped by her and a group of
Koopa Troop - turned - Bleck minions, the
other Goomba simply surrenders to her and willingly joins Bleck's forces.
The former is almost exactly like the Super Show, except the
Koopa Kids join their father in making trouble for Luigi and the
others.
