other abandoned pets with serious medical needs.

abandoned circus and theme park animals.
Adoptable homeless
pets in northern Nevada continue to have priority, but we help
pets in need from
other areas when we can because they are worth saving too, and it is beyond their control where they were born or
abandoned.
Of the millions of cats who enter American shelters each year, around half are unowned, free - living felines, some of them lost or
abandoned pet cats and many
others not socialized to humans enough to be adopted.
Feral cats are the offspring of lost or
abandoned pet cats or
other feral cats; they don't typically want to interact with people.

abandoned domestic cats, assisting low income families with emergency and wellness veterinary care and subsidize adoption fees for senior cats to senior citizens along with
other support programs to help people keep their
pets.
These
pets have been
abandoned, lost, abused or for
other reasons given away.
Other times, owners will
abandon their cats and kittens to shelters and human societies, confident that an adoptive family can be found for their
pet.
When you rehome a rescue
pet, you'll give an
abandoned or unwanted animal the chance of a happy future — but there are
other benefits too.
The mission of Bandit's Adoption and Rescue of K - 9s (BARK) is to rescue orphaned or
abandoned pets and
other adoptable dogs from animal shelters in the Richmond area, provide spay / neuter and vaccinations, then find loving, forever homes for them.
We will be the exemplary rescue group for South Central Montana by executing exceptional business practices and by working with
other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of volunteers and supporters to create a better world for
abandoned pets.
The group's mission is to protect homeless,
abandoned and mistreated Great Danes and
other dog breeds within our volunteer care organization; to work with area animal shelters and humane societies in rescue efforts to help place adoptable animals into safe, loving, forever homes; and to educate people about spay / neuter and the need for sterilization of all
pets, proper health care of a
pet, nutritional requirements, socialization and training.
To provide care and rehabilitation for
abandoned and unwanted Rottweilers; To find permanent adoptive homes for the dogs in our care; To educate the public about the Rottweiler and
other «bully» breeds; To educate the public about responsible
pet care and ownership.
By doing this, we keep
pets out of shelters or
abandoned in the streets, thereby decreasing the euthanasia rate of animal - control facilities, lowering the tax burden on citizens whose tax dollars fund county - run animal control services, and giving
other shelter animals a longer period in which to find their forever homes.
We will also explore
other reasons people abuse and
abandon pets to shelters and veterinarians for re-homing or killing.
In these rough economic times, many
pet owners are forced to
abandon their beloved
pet to the ASPCA, North Shore Animal League or
other animal shelters due to the inability to pay for their basic food supply and care.
But imagine starting much sooner, when
pets are still in homes but on the verge of being relinquished to shelters or
abandoned to the street because their owners don't have the financial, logistical, or
other personal means to take care of them.
Additional funding was also provided through SLCoAS 501c3 affiliate, Utah FACES whose «sponsor a kennel» program and
other fundraising events have been a significant source of support for all lost and
abandoned pets at the shelter.
