airline and
others are mainly skyteam
partners but I will fly the cheapest option on any
alliance as I have enough miles to become Flying Blue platinum for life already.
As mentioned in the Travel Goals example in Chapter 4, we can use our miles to book award travel, not just with the
airline with which we have our miles, but also with any of their
alliance partners or

alliance partners don't allow you to search for award availability for
other partners on their website and that's really annoying because that means you'll always have to call in to book and you're not sure what that
airline is seeing in terms of award availability.

other partner airlines, most of which are SkyTeam
alliance members.
While Virgin Atlantic is not a member of a major
alliance, they
partner with several
airlines, such as Delta, Singapore, ANA, Hawaiian, and a few

I find better award space on United's
partners to most parts of the world than I do on any
other airline alliance.
They are earned in addition to XP when flying on one of the
