Baby Milk Action is preparing a kit of materials to enable others to do the same wherever Nestlé, its leading competitor, Danone, or
other baby food companies target health workers with sponsorship.
Baby Milk Action is encouraging members of the public to alert it to
other baby food company promotions so it can organise protests if these are breaking marketing rules.

baby food companies targeting midwives, health visitors and
others involved in mother and child health, the money comes from a premium on the price of formula and the expectation is the expenditure will result in greater sales.
Nestlé, which has been designated as the «Least Ethical
Company» globally, is infamous for practices including destruction of water resources; aggressive marketing of infant formula and
other baby foods in violation of the World Health Organization's International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes and subsequent WHA resolutions; trade union busting and infiltrating public interest organizations critical of Nestlé's predatory practices.
