It wasn't until I was making my favorite black
bean soup the
other day (and realizing I'd never shared it with you) that it occurred to me that the fresh summer corn I had picked up that morning would be fantastic in it.

beans, carrots, peas, and
other fresh seasonal ingredients work well too.
Baby limas are the perfect

soups as they break apart and become creamy in much less time than
