However, this fight plays out differently than
any other boss encounter in the game.

All of the
other Batman rouges are
encountered in the open world city so this kind of narrows down the
boss battles in the game and means you
encounter less puzzle - like battles like in the first game.
Considering nearly every
other Metroid title has been known for their memorable
boss encounters, it was a bit disappointing to see that taking a back seat here.
When a door in Metroid Prime takes longer than usual to open after you shoot it, you can bet there's a
boss or
other surprise
encounter waiting on the
other side.

boss battles are so different from normal
encounters, what is useful for one kind is often useless in the

Also... ugh... six pattern - recognition - based
boss battles that remind me why I hate
boss battles (I know, I know, you and many

They all stand around listlessly waiting to be cut down, and almost all the
bosses can be beaten in one hit if you save up the game's
other special move for the
encounter.
Without giving anything away, several of these
encounters directly reference
other Sonic
boss fights and even
other spin - off games in a way that shows Sonic Mania for the passion project it truly is.
Unlike
other moves, these can only be used on harder
encounters such as
bosses and champion mobs, have lengthy cool - downs and only proc at moments of near death.
Few
other games boast
boss encounters as massive and epic as those found in Bayonetta — even the most seasoned action game veterans will walk away impressed.
You and one
other player will have to fight your way across levels and
encounter enemies and
bosses.
There wasn't a single
boss encounter that didn't wow me, though I did find some a lot easier than
others.
When battles become more difficult, players can choose to cooperate with up to three
other players through online (ad hoc) play in the Hollow Area and create a formidable raid party to take down large groups of enemies and more challenging
boss encounters.
Beck's main weapon is a blaster cannon strapped to his arm and although Beck can assimilate
other powers from each
boss encounter, Beck's basic weapon is usually the best form of attack.

encounter traps, enemies, and a lot of
other things like
bosses.
The
other three
bosses however were all standout
encounters; the first has you fighting two demons with fire and poison attacks was thrilling (except for Toxic status ailment, which has no place in a
boss fight), with the second phase changing up depending on which demon was killed first.
It is not unusual for you to
encounter a
boss that uses a new game mechanic that not only isn't really explained to you, but isn't present in any of the
other levels.

While each
boss encounter is fun, I did miss the whole «spin bowser around» or «slap bowser in the tail» aspect from
other 3D Mario games.
As for the
bosses, I don't think the end of chapter
boss battles are anywhere near as enjoyable as those
encountered in
other LEGO games, nor are they as epic.
The airborn
boss battle seemed unlike a lot of
other KH
boss battles to this point and now it looks like that won't be the only unique
encounter coming to KH3.
Other encounters incorporate an enticing roulette mini-game, luring a glutinous
boss with a rare item, sending a teammate to maneuver and launch a visceral javelin, and using a
boss» own vulnerability paint to even the odds — all of which make their respective
boss fight feel distinct and fully fleshed out.
A few
other small issues exist within the game too - there isn't a lot of replay value; there are no significant
boss battles besides those few
encounters with Kuro; there are several trial and error «escape» levels that can get tiresome - but these niggles are only made more apparent by the inherent quality of the rest of the game.
While some franchises truly excel at
boss encounters, it would be unfair to exclude
other games and let a single series steal all the glory.
Only during
boss fights and a select few
other encounters are you required to use your brush techniques in interesting ways.
The game's
other big drawback are the
boss encounters.
Also, for a seasoned game player everything is much too easy, and unless there is a crazy
boss you
encounter, you'll be able to mow down all
other enemies without breaking a sweat.
It also shows off multiple
boss monsters and a range of
other companions you can
encounter, before finally announcing that it will release this year.
Players can befriend Wicked and Boss Yo - kai
encountered in previous games, learn about the origin of the mysterious feline Yo - kai Darknyan and take on powerful new
bosses with
others in the co-operative Blasters mode — which has been revamped since the last games.
