Holding Legends of Troy in comparison to
other brawlers on the market, the game feels paltry, cheap, and empty.
It's lovely stuff thanks to smooth, responsive controls, and while it's never achieves the same depths
as other brawlers — there's a fairly limited selection of combos and only a few purchasable moves such as a parry — it always felt exhilarating, especially when you walk out of a massive fight with nary even a scratch and an S rating.
Additionally, players aren't rewarded for brutal, vicious attacks as they might be
in other brawlers.
Unique amongst
other brawlers of the time is the ability to transform into more powerful forms, like armor - clad wolves and samurai warriors, with completely different attacks and enhanced powers.
In 1987, Technos Japan's Double Dragon ruled the arcades, single - handedly kicking off the beat «em up craze that led to such beloved titles as Final Fight, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, and
countless other brawlers that dominated the arcades in the late «80s and early «90s.
Golden Axe is a classic gaming series, but it has always been outclassed
by other brawlers of the time, including Sega's own Streets of Rage.
As later levels feature monsters with high magical attack abilities, mage - type characters will be able to easily breeze through
while other brawler - type characters like Solange will have a tough time if the player neglected to raise the magical abilities.
Simple though it may be, there's a finesse to the game's fighting system that
other brawlers simply don't have.
Because all we have is watching it, and watching people build up a meter to finally get a kill isn't quite as exciting
as other brawlers.
They blame «cannibalism» as one of the primary causes, as
other brawlers have released «within a short time» of each other.
It's a great game, but I think many of Capcom's
other brawlers are more entertaining.
Ultimately, Samurai Shodown Sen is a title lacking the polish and depth found in
the other brawlers available at this time.
Once you've put in the practice, though, swapping between these empowering abilities sets The Wonderful 101 apart from
any other brawler on the market.
