I cheat and usually just wash a new diaper alone once, then throw it in with
other diapers or even like color laundry.
I like to put it on my daughter without a cover when she gets chafing on her thighs from
other diapers.
It is about 25 % more absorbent than
other diapers in this category.
I could buy two of most of
my other diapers for that price.
She also doesn't fuss when it's time for a diaper change so I think she doesn't feel as wet as with
some other diapers.
My only complaints are that (1) this diaper has shown wear and tear WAY sooner than
my other diapers.
You should take precautions to ensure that the oils don't transfer to
your other diapers, or you will end up with a whole load that needs to be stripped, rather than just one diaper that needs to be prepped!
When I use them: Right now I use them when
my other diapers are in the wash.
Unfortunately baby is not here yet, so i can't give a great review... however I like the diaper covers, they seem stirdy, but when i practiced placing it on a big bear, i felt like the fit and the way it looked wasnt as nice as
other diapers ive tried.
I previously hated snaps on
other diapers as I couldn't get a comfortable fit without snapping it a few different times.
New diapers made from synthetic fabrics (such as PUL diaper covers) can be washed with
other diapers that have already been prepped right from the beginning.
When throwing your dirty diapers in your diaper pail (or before washing), always unfold your diapers, remove the inserts from pocket diapers and don't forget to fold down the aplix (Velcro) onto the laundry tabs so they don't catch onto
your other diapers.
These last all night with just the small soaker and are definitely our go to over
other diapers.
But then I can crack open the huge stash of
other diapers I have.

Using most
other diapers, I had to guess which size and then sometimes try again.

Additionally it tends to open up in the wash (even the best ones) and snag and stick to
other diapers in the wash creating annoying diaper chains and occasionally causing

Because of this, it can take more time to line dry than
some other diapers.
You won't likely find
any other diapers like this, it makes a very trim daytime fitted that I think you'll love.
I regret this because I love the simplicity and always perfect size of aplix on
my other diapers (i.e. my Sweet Pea AIO, Nuggles Cover, Sweet Pea Cover, even the bumGenius Little)
If you're on a budget, there are
other diapers to consider.
Be sure to follow all instructions to set the paint appropriately and wash separately until you're sure the paint is colorfast and won't adhere to
your other diapers.
I wish I knew what
the other diapers are (tagless garage sale find), they are great and about the same weave as a t - shirt but the Snappis still attach well.
A lot of
other diapers can become difficult to tell apart when their labels aren't visible, but these... you KNOW an AppleCheeks diaper when you see one!
These diapers are nice because the outside cover is soft and stretchy and the touch - tape tabs do not pill, however, they don't stick to the laundry tabs during the washing process all the time, either, nor do they stick to
other diapers.
You could probably use them for
other diapers, but they may not fit right because of their unique design.
It's not that
those other diapers are horrible, but these far out perform the others.
The entire pouch can be removed and washed easily thus making it a very manageable option compared to
other diapers.
Note: One potential downside you may hear about AIO cloth diapers is that they typically do not hold up as long as
other diapers.
