Part of our
advocacy efforts includes educating the public on various aspects of living with
dogs, with or without disabilities, to encourage adoption, especially of these ostracized breeds that are in great numbers in shelters everywhere due to overpopulation and the bans on pit bulls (read more about Breed - Specific Legislation and
other BS discrimination).
The National Greyhound Association and
other dog - racing
advocacy organizations said they were working with regional greyhound adoption groups and the Pet Blood Bank to place all of the 150 greyhounds now housed there up for adoption.
Considering the tragically high euthanasia rate for these
dogs, members of pit bull
advocacy groups, and
other dog lovers, choose to adopt them as family pets.

advocacy has included many
other animal charity events, which have raised about a million dollars over the past seven years and resulted in many
dog and cat adoptions.

Advocacy Center, incited some of the most troubled agencies to try to inflate their «live release rates» by simply leaving
dogs at large.
