I agree there should be resting places in each
room, and a
focal point, some
rooms have quieter features than
others, and I think there should be a degree
of cohesiveness with
focal points in various
rooms as well.
This side
of the
room (from the opening into the kitchen) is deeper than the
other side, so the console was added to «bump» the sofa forward, so that everything centers on the fireplace /
focal point.
