While
other European countries boast successful exhibitions in cities
other than their capitals, in Britain only one show outside London - 10 Religious Masterpieces at the Laing
Gallery in Newcastle upon Tyne - drew enough visitors, 2,075 a day, to make the global top 100
list.
With work currently on view at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Brooklyn Museum (a stronghold of feminist art), and art held in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York (2014), the National Portrait
Gallery in Washington, the Jewish Museum, and a long
list of
other major public collections, her importance is hard to debate.

Art - rock albums such as Concert's Behave Like an Audience (2013) and Life Without Buildings» Any
Other City (2001) are also on the set -
list as part of the library, to be shuffled by
gallery visitors and staff alike.
However, even with the more focused look of the 2013 fair, one could not ignore the absence of many larger
galleries, including Mary Boone, White Cube and
others, perhaps due to the ever - growing
list of art fairs world wide, and even the increasing number of events held in conjunction with the Armory Show.
And it's hard to lavish enough praise on Rachel Hecker's masterful paintings of handwritten
lists, appointment cards, Post-it notes and
other memory - laden scraps of paper inmy world is really small and you are in itat Texas
