Another way is to incorporate the 20 rep squat into your own routine and
drop other leg exercises that you normally do on your leg day.
Because these leg exercises are done standing instead of sitting, they all improve balance to a higher degree than
other leg exercises in which you are not standing.

do other leg exercises that use your entire body such as squats, burpees etc, (rather than machines) but just keep in mind that these type of exercises do build some muscle but are also great for leaning out your entire body.
When you're doing lunges, thigh adductions or
other leg exercises, make sure that you're doing full stretches and contractions.
I'm a cyclist and do velodrome twice a week, road cycling twice and gym two days inbetween with my brother doing cardio there as well as squat, lunges, calf raises and
other leg exercises but have slightly chunky legs and am quite short.
