My son is in second grade and their
lunch menu consists of some variation of chicken nuggets at least twice a week, add about 4
other over processed
entrees (hot dogs, corn dogs, mini tacos, hamburgers, spaghetti), and you have the entire month's menu, month after month.
I just revisited HISD's site and it says that «For
lunch, students must take an
entree and may take up to three
other items and a milk.»
If your son is not a veggie eater (and even my veggie eater doesn't love plain, raw veggies, even with dips), can you concentrate on fruits for
lunch and worry about veggies at
other meals (and / or put them into the
entree)?
