Though the door bins are
of a good

other areas don't impress as much: the cubby under the front center arm rest is only large and deep enough to be used as a cell
phone tray, and the glovebox can't really contain anything
of much worth if you leave the owner's manual in there.

Few
others make
phones of such a
size, with only, say, the marginally larger Google Pixel 2 taking a similar stance in the Android camp.
I do prefer the
size of the
other phones (particularly the 6.3 - inch Note 8), and I'm hoping the rumors
of a Plus
size next year are true.
The high - res screen is great, but the lack
of expandable storage, and slightly disappointing camera can't match
other phones, regardless
of screen
size.
It's easy to reach the fingerprint sensor on a
phone of this
size (easier than we found it to be on the taller Nexus 6P), and the one on the Axon 7 is just as fast and accurate as those on competing top - end handsets (ZTE uses the same Swedish sensor supplier, Fingerprint Cards, as
other leading brands).
Such a large and expensive
phone will immediately alienate a certain section
of former Nexus buyers, some for its
size and
others for its price.
Of course, the standard settings (wallpaper, view mode, text
size, auto - rotate, etc.) all act as they would on any
other phone, but EMUI 5.1 has some unique options that allow for a more personalized experience.
The reason I have always liked the Galaxy Note series
of phones more than most
other phablets is simple: Notes are gigantic, but there's a reason for their
size.
It's better than the normal -
sized S9, though
other phones out
of China are maxing out at 5,000 mAh these days.
Handling for a
phone of this
size and stature is as expected and for the most part, it's no different to any
other smartphone.
If you read through the whole thing, about the only things you'll come out the
other side not knowing how to do with the
phone are obscure things like changing the
size of the quick settings grid, though you'll either pass by or manage to stumble across most things
of that nature.
And the
other downside is the
size of the camera bump, which is roughly the same as Apple's on the iPhone X and leads to similar issues
of the
phone being imbalanced when laid on a flat surface.
Being overwhelmed by the
phone's
size is to be expected given its 4.7 - inch display, but we occasionally found ourselves struggling to reach from top to bottom or from one side
of the
phone to the
other.
There are plenty
of large
phones to choose from these days: the iPhone 7 Plus, the Galaxy Note 7, the OnePlus 3, and many
others that feature displays at least 5.5 - inches in
size.
Of course, like
other larger screen -
sized phones, the Redmi Note 5 can be customised for one - handed usage.
Other Mods are made by third party OEMs like the JBL Soundboost speaker, which offers rich sound, deep bass and a built - in kickstand, or the power packs by Incipio that deliver double the battery life for a marginal
size increase in thickness
of the
phone.
While many
of you have asked us not to increase the physical
size of our
phones,
others requested larger and more immersive displays.
In terms
of measurements, the HTC 10 is 9 mm thick at its deepest point and weighs 161g, resulting in the
phone being a little thicker and slightly heavier than most
other flagship
phones on the market, though most people probably won't notice the additional
size and weight (it is slightly heavier than the 157g One M9).
To be fair, while the
phone can see up to a day with a single charge under heavy usage and can see slightly more than a day when used moderately, we expected slightly more, given the performance
of other devices with similar
sized batteries.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro and LG V30 are the closest
other Android
phones from different brands in terms
of sheer
size and display resolution.
In a market full
of devices that look nearly identical to each
other, Sony's X Compact also has a style
of its own, refined as ever, and a surprisingly long list
of features for a
phone its
size.
(What's more, the engineering challenges
of fitting a microSD slot into a GS6 -
sized smartphone pale in comparison to the work involved in bringing back the
other feature that
phone lacked — a fully removable battery.)
The biggest downside to the design is the
size, which feels downright old and clunky next to some
of the
other 2017
phone designs we've seen so far.
As the next iPhone event nears, no
other company is capable
of producing
phone -
sized OLED displays at the same scale and consistency as Samsung.
There's a circular fingerprint sensor on the back
of the Pure XL, and although this position works well on
other devices, including the Huawei Honor 7 and the Nexus 6P, it's a bit awkward here due to the overall
size of the
phone.
While the
size and resolution
of the display remain unchanged, just about every
other aspect
of the
phone has been significantly upgraded.
The screen is taller than the
other phones with the same
size, like we saw in case
of the Galaxy S8.
The display is large but the
size of the
phone is still similar to
other 5.5 - inch display
phones because
of small bezels on the Honor 9i.
Other specs confirmed by the company include the 3.5 mm headphone jack, a screen - to - body ratio
of 90 percent and an overall
size that's just as large as the company's existing
phones.
It's taller than
other flagships with similar -
sized displays, such as the LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy S4, highlighted by how the Z1's panel occupies just 64 %
of the
phone's footprint, compared to 76 % and 72 % for the two aforementioned devices respectively.
The
phone is a slimmed - down variant
of the Moto Z flagship, offering just about the same design language, screen
size, and the modular features, among
other aspects.
