When someone is accused
of «cherry - picking» verses from the Bible, it means that they have a particular
doctrine or idea they want to teach to
others, and rather than considering «the whole counsel
of God,» they pick a choose a few select verses from various books
of the Bible which seems to prove their
point or present their case in the strongest possible way.
