Hmm — when I think charlatanism, I must confess, what comes to mind is this
ridiculous excuse by early Christian apologists (Justin Martyr and
others) that the devil was able to perform plagiarism in reverse time order (to fool people into thinking that
other similar
stories before the Gospels came first).
And, at the same time, to be fair, what you may perceive as a «Love
Story by God» and take it «literally»
others perceive it at best, a book of fiction, with some good words of wisdom now and then, to at worst, a book of an insane deity who demands obedience, among
other ridiculous things, and... sent «himself» to die for «us» as we are «broken» and «flawed» / sinful» creations, and by sending his - self... if... we just «believe» we go to eternal paradise with him.
why don't you start with why humans invented religion in the first place, the origins of the books of the bible, the multiple «christ» (copied)
stories throughout the history of time, fossil evidence of evolution of man and all species, all the discrepancies in the bible, knowledge of all the gods that humans have believed in through recorded history, the political uses of christianity in the time of it's origin, the fact that every
other religion has followers who believe just as strongly in their own god / book, that fact that if you had been born in another part of the world you would be a different religion and going to «hell», and that a good, kind, omniscient god wouldn't allow all the suffering and evil to happen, and wouldn't need «help» as christians like to tout... and then we'll get to all these
ridiculous fools.

stories were getting
ridiculous, with so - called experts claiming the deal was done and that private jets had been booked to bring him from Madrid and
other such malarkey.

NPR has always struck me as fairly balanced in that they always give both sides of the
